It has been a beautiful day here in Scotland today,so decided the garden needed doing! I have been itching to cut my grass and give it a general tidy for weeks now but with the sun out and hubby having a day off-job done!
Also managed to tidy and clean my craft area-that pastel dust gets everywhere! Although I dare say it will not last for long,it never does.
This evening I have been doing a bit of sketching and colouring, I have a fear of doing faces and people and animals,so thought it time I bit the bullet and at least tried. Not happy with the charcoal pic of woman but quite please with the childs eye. You know what they say prctise, practise, practise!

Neend to do mine too Jinny but other things are just as pressing - and OH has gone down pub so why should I lol? I sympathise as I can't draw - but love the eye and as you say, practice, practice, practice!! I think we forget sometimes that art is at some level a discipline like any other. You wouldn't expect to be able to rune 10 miles straight off (or in my case never in a million years). Putting the effort in will reap rewards (oh please, forgive these wise words from the laziest person on the planet!!) Cindy x
The eye drawing is really good Jinny, and it's not just practice, but confidence as well, that makes a good drawing. you are doing really well.xxxxx
Jinny, the eye looks really good. If I can make a constructive criticism... it would look even better with a highlight on the pupil. Always seems to add a sparkle and make the sketch come alive. Of course I am assuming there is a light on the subjects face....
With all this crafting, who gets time to practice?
